1. My reaction to the film is that i really liked it. it was a similar story to the diving belll and the butterfly but it kept my intreats more maybe because it was in spanish! i understand why ramon was asking for assistance in suicide not from personal experience but just that after living like that for 28 years or so i would want to die as well and would want a more dignified way go sie. i think the courts response to hi splea was just them doing more want that knoew was right by law but they might have realized that it was time for him to die and be free. i think that his friends that were willing to help him weren't crazy or what ever but just wanted to see him happy because they were the ones who saw him struggle everyday.
2. The Sea Inside and the Diving Bell and the Butterfly are in many ways alike and different. in the sea inside it focuses more on that ramon wants to die and move on when in the diving bel and the butterfly bulby still had hope that he would get better and be able to move. but they were the same because obviously they were but quadriplegic and had people that loved them and both thier mind were still free as a butterfly.
3. They seemed to use close up shots to show that what the person was saying was important. then in most of the shots with two or more people there were median shots so you could get a better understanding of what was going on in the seen. there was not vary many long shots but the one that i personally really liked was when ramon day dreamed he was flying and it showed the land beneath him and kind of used fire hosing to show it as well. another technique they used was when ramon was leaving him family in the truck they shot from above to give it more of a sad pitiful tone to it when his nefue was chasing the van.
